TMF candles are designed as functional objects, not decorative scent products.
Form, material choice, and sensory restraint are considered together to support focus, routine, and everyday use. They are designed to be used regularly, not saved for special occasions.
If you’re new to TMF, Task Tealights™ are a simple place to begin.
They are designed as a low-commitment way to introduce scent, routine, and focus into your space.
Both. TMF candles are designed to be burned, but they are also made as objects that can exist within a space.
They can be used as part of a routine, or simply as a visual presence; something that marks a moment, a task, or a shift in attention.
How you choose to use them is up to you.
TMF uses essential oils to keep candles eco-conscious and to maintain a lower sensory load.
Synthetic fragrances are often designed for intensity and projection. TMF approaches scent as a supporting element; something that sits within a space rather than dominating it.
For some people, heavily fragranced environments can feel overwhelming, so TMF favours a more restrained approach.
No. TMF uses essential oils only, in smaller quantity, with scent treated as a functional element rather than an intensity feature. The aim is comfort and repeat use, not fragrance projection.
Most candles use an 8-12% fragrance load where TMF sits around the 5-6% fragrance load pending the essential oil used.
If you are sensitive to scent, unscented options are also available.
TMF candles are designed with sensory awareness in mind and do NOT use synthetic fragrance or toxic materials.
That said, everyone’s body is different. If you are highly sensitive, we recommend starting with our unscented candles or using our lightly scented candles for shorter burn periods.
Yes. TMF candles are made using plant-based wax and do not contain animal derived ingredients.
No products or materials are tested on animals.
All TMF candles are colour-matched, hand-poured and made in small batches.
Slight, natural variation in colour, texture, and surface is expected and part of the making process. These variations do not affect performance.
Do not burn a candle for more than 2 hours at a time.
We recommend 1-2 hours for smaller candles such as Task Tealights™. Allow your candle to cool fully before relighting.
