These Terms & Conditions apply to your use of themessyformist.com and any purchases made from The Messy Formist (TMF).
By accessing this website or placing an order, you agree to be bound by these terms, along with our Privacy Policy, Shipping Policy, and Refund Policy. Please read them carefully.
Product information & accuracy
TMF has made every effort to display product descriptions, colours, and images as accurately as possible.
Please note:
- candles are hand-poured and colour-matched by hand
- slight variations in colour, texture, and finish are natural and expected
- no two objects are identical
These variations are part of the making process and are not considered faults.
Screen displays may vary depending on device and settings, and colours may appear slightly different in person.
Use of products
TMF products are designed for their intended use only.
Candles must be used in accordance with provided Candle Care guidelines.
TMF is not responsible for damage, injury, or loss resulting from improper use or failure to follow care instructions.
Orders & acceptance
When you place an order, you are making an offer to purchase.
TMF reserves the right to accept or decline any order at its discretion. An order is not confirmed until payment has been processed, and you receive an order confirmation.
TMF may:
- limit quantities
- discontinue products
- cancel or refuse orders where necessary
If an order cannot be fulfilled, you will be contacted and refunded.
You are responsible for ensuring all information provided at checkout is accurate and complete.
Pricing & payment
All prices are listed in Australian dollars (AUD) unless otherwise stated.
TMF reserves the right to change prices at any time without notice. Price changes will not affect orders that have already been confirmed.
Payment is processed securely through Shopify and its approved payment providers. By placing an order, you confirm that you are authorised to use the selected payment method.
Shipping, delivery & risk
Shipping and delivery are governed by TMF’s Shipping Policy.
All delivery timeframes are estimates only and are not guaranteed.
Once your order has been dispatched and handed to the carrier (e.g. Australia Post), delivery is managed by the carrier. While TMF will assist where possible, TMF is not responsible for delays, loss, or damage occurring during transit.
Returns & refunds
Returns and refunds are governed by TMF’s Refund Policy, which forms part of these Terms & Conditions.
Nothing in these terms excludes your rights under Australian Consumer Law.
