An intricate pinecone Character Candle™ inspired by the natural symmetry of a pinecone and ancient architectural ingenuity.
Designed as both a functional object and a quiet statement piece, this form brings texture into a space. It feels at home styled on a shelf, bedside, or festive table, whether lit to help keep you focused on a task, or left as an object of form.
Inspiration
This design draws inspiration from the Tower of Meybod in Iran, believed to date back to the 16th century. The structure was built to house thousands of pigeons for survival.
The tower’s interior walls are lined with repeating geometric niches, designed with the purpose of collecting fertiliser, sustaining local crops and livelihoods.
That deliberate repetition mirrors the layered symmetry of a pinecone. Two forms, worlds apart, yet sharing a language of pattern, utility, and timeless design.
The Meybod Pinecone is my interpretation of that relationship between nature and structure.
